SUNDAY JANUARY  18

SANCTIFIED SAINTS- That's anyone who is a follower of Christ and it means loving God and loving others.  

We met in the Fellowship Hall due to ceiling work in the sanctuary.  There was sweet fellowship!  Attendance on Sunday was 48 and the offering was $2578.02.

SUNDAY JANUARY 25

We meet to worship God in our church at 10am with Sunday School and then worship service at 11am.  The scripture reading is Matthew 4:12-23.

 

PARKING LOT CHALLENGE

Last week we reached our goal of $25,000 and this week we have exceeded at $40,000.  Thank you Lord for faithful contributors!

 

HIM and COMMUNITY DINNER

The HIM  group engaged in reflecting on the past year including projects and people we have supported.  We will continue to work on specific dates and more planning at our next meeting in February. To reach more people in our community, our HIM group decided to branch out and prepare and serve a meal for everyone!  The first community meal is March 8 at 5:00pm. Chili and cornbread are on the menu.  Donations will be accepted at the meal and given to one of the local charities we support ( will let you know the charity when its decided). Want to participate?  Talk to organizers Melinda Chambers or Sandra Webb.  They will let you know what is needed.  But please, bring a guest and come eat!  Where else could you get such a good deal?

 

TRIP TO BURNSVILLE 

The trip to Burnsville in Western NC has been rescheduled for January 30-31.  The group will leave at 10:00 am on Friday morning  and stay overnight.  The 31st will see them up bright and early to start the stew to be ready by lunch time for any who may want to come and eat. Its not too late to go.  See the sign up sheet  in the narthex or talk to Jay and Kim Foushee.
