What We Do

Helena In Mission
Helena In Mission is a community of people who love God and others and support each other in faith. We gather regularly for breakfast, devotions, prayer, fellowship and mission projects. Join us and be part of this active group. Contact Clint King: ackking@gmail.com .

Small Group Ministry
Our Sunday School is a place where we can grow in faith and build strong relationships with each other and with God. We offer weekly meetings on Sunday mornings and other activities as planned. Come and join us!

BackPack Pals
BackPack Pals ministry engages our church community with the extended community around us. In partnership with Person County BackPack Pals, our church packs and delivers weekend meal packages to Helena Elementary School for children who are food insecure. The packing is done biweekly and the delivery to the school is weekly. Be a part of this important task. Contact Sandra Webb: sandrwebb@yahoo.com

Music Ministry
Our Music Ministry is dedicated to enhancing our worship experience through music. We have a choir, and welcome anyone who has a passion for music and wants to use their talents to glorify God with us. Individuals with instrumental and voice talents are part of our worship often. Prayer Shawl Ministry

Called “Wrapped in Prayer,” the purpose of this ministry is to knit or crochet shawls to be given to anyone that is in crisis or for those celebrating something special. To date, over 800 shawls have been crocheted or knitted, blessed, and given to people in our church, friends, family members, and “friends we haven’t met yet”: people who don’t even live near here but who are connected by God’s threads to someone at Helena who sends a prayer shawl their way. We have received so many precious personal notes of thanks for the shawls over the years, testifying to the value of this ministry.
If you would like more information or would like to request a shawl for someone, please contact Susie Foushee. Susie3425@aol.com.
